Data infrastructure cabling and system installation is the standards-compliant build of the structured cabling backbone that carries a facility's voice-data-image traffic, together with the network room and distribution infrastructure. The service covers integrated engineering from area-need analysis to topology design, passive components (cable, patch panel, channel, cabinet), active hardware placement, certification testing and identity-documentation. A well-built backbone is the base layer on which cameras, telephony, automation and network services all rest.
Design and Standards
- Hierarchy: Entrance (demarc), backbone and horizontal layers are designed per ISO/IEC 11801; vertical riser fibre and horizontal Cat6/Cat6A plan backbone integrity and future capacity.
- Channel category: Link length (100 m budget), joint-box limitation, channel separation-fill ratio and electromagnetic separation; under PoE density (heat rise) the section and channel ventilation are recalculated.
- Network room: Cooling-power (earthed UPS), fire detection, access control, cable management and earthing bar; fire compartment and load capacity watched. (UPS infrastructure is planned here.)
- Identification: The label-mapping-documentation chain of every outlet; patch panel, cabinet and floor plan numbering ties the facility to a maintenance standard in the ISO/IEC 14763 approach.
Testing and Certification
Certification is the technical ground of delivery: every link is verified with a certification tester — DC continuity, insulation, length, near-end crosstalk (NEXT), return loss, propagation delay skew and the DCR-unbalance parameters for PoE. Test results are logged per link automatically and delivered as a report table; an untested link falls outside warranty. On fibre, OTDR splice-shadow analysis, loss and budget are verified. In active setup, VLAN/QoS design, capacity-redundancy tests for VoIP and camera traffic are run.
Legal Basis, Maintenance and Outcome
Installation runs under Law No. 6331 and the Internal Electrical Installations Regulation, Fire Buildings rules (network room), access-cybersecurity requirements and structured cabling standards (the TS EN 50173 series, ISO/IEC 11801, the TIA-568 approach). Maintenance recommends updating physical changes (as-built preservation), patch-area order, cabinet heat-dust control and periodic testing. Scaling and expansion planning is managed with the backbone spare capacity. Capacity Planning and Redundancy
Backbone capacity is built not for today's users but for a three-five year growth margin: spare cores in fibre bundles, free unit space in cabinets and reach distance in patch areas are preserved; critical services (network room, VoIP, cameras) are duplicated with dual feeds and switch-over scenarios, and the test limits enter the contract as acceptance criteria.
