Plumbing Installations
Plumbing installations: potable and hot water, waste and rainwater systems with design, installation, pressure testing and commissioning in turnkey contracting.
Plumbing installations are the system set of a building that carries clean water to the tap and hot water to the shower, while removing waste and foul water odourlessly and silently. An invisible discipline noticed only when it fails: a leaking embedded pipe creeps into the load wall, an under-vented waste line fills the whole floor with odour. Our plumbing contracting is therefore built on correct material selection, calculation based network design, pressure-leak tests that cannot be skipped and a hygiene-focused operating plan. The service spans from drinking water quality (the Human Consumption Water Regulation) to energy efficiency across residential, hotel, hospital and food production scales.
System Layers
- Clean water network: The tank-pump-column-floor branch hierarchy (expansion tank-hydrophore); velocity-noise and pressure regime (static plus dynamic) control, anti-scald precision at thermostatic-mixer fittings.
- Hot water and circulation: Boiler-hot water boiler-exchanger interface, the "hot on open" comfort via the circulation line, and the balance between circulation pump energy and the Legionella risk window (hold above 60 °C, avoid below 20 °C).
- Waste and venting: The slope-velocity-blockage trio, primary-secondary stack venting and trap rules; grease separators and foul water pump stations (check valve-leak-alarm).
- Rainwater: Roof drain sizing, overflow-backup drainage and segregation: diverting polluted first-flush rain to separation wells or process recovery.
Material and Installation Quality
Material choice varies by application: stainless-steel, copper, PPR-PVC composite lines and pressed systems — operating pressure, water temperature-chemistry and movement expansion are the decision inputs. Every point that cannot be reached later — embedded fittings, shower channels — is signed off with double sealing and a test sequence. Expansion joints, bearing clamp distances and sound insulation (friction-shock noise) are the details deciding comfort quality. Freezing zones, exposed lines and fire wall passages follow the standard rules (sleeve-seal).
Testing, Commissioning and Maintenance
Before embedding every line passes a pressure test (type-tight hydrostatic duration) and leak inspection; the waste line is verified by water-fill-slope trial. Commissioning covers disinfection-chlorination and independent laboratory drinking water analysis, fitting flow balancing, foul station automation-alarm trials and metering layout. In operation: tank cleaning-periodic chlorination (monthly-half-yearly), anode-boiler control, grease separator cleaning and pre-winter service of outdoor lines are planned. The plan runs coordinated with the installation periodic inspection calendar.
Legislation and Outcome
Practice runs within Law No. 6331, the Planned Urban Areas Regulation, the national in-building plumbing rules, regional water authority specifications and human consumption water legislation; thermal insulation ties into TS 825 and energy efficiency rules. Plumbing is the silent infrastructure deciding a building's satisfaction survey — when done right it is never discussed. For new builds, renovation or leak-repair focused survey, see the contact page; this service sits under our Mechanical Installation Contracting heading.
FAQ on Plumbing Installations
Plumbing is noticed only when it fails: an embedded leak creeps into the load wall, an under-vented waste line fills the floor with odour, and a broken hot water circulation leaves comfort and wasted energy behind. A right project means a calculated tank-pump (expansion tank-hydrophore)-column-floor hierarchy with velocity-pressure regime and anti-scald precision; fault cost multiplies in operation.
Hot water must be held above 60 °C, the distribution band must cross the 20-55 °C risk window fast, dead legs must leave the design and the return circulation must be preserved. Tank cleaning-periodic chlorination (monthly-half-yearly), anode-boiler control (boiler/hot water boiler) and tap hygiene are planned care; in large buildings independent laboratory drinking water analysis repeats periodically (Human Consumption Water Regulation).
Before embedding every line passes pressure (hydrostatic hold time) and leak control; the waste line is verified by water-fill-slope trial. Material-pressure-temperature-chemistry fit, expansion-compensator-support plan, freeze zone-exposed line protection and sleeve-sealing at fire walls are standard rules. The minimal-junction discipline and end-to-end labelling cheapen every later renovation.
Grease separator cleaning, foul station (check valve-alarm) audit, hydrophore pressure regime control, pre-winter service of outdoor lines and periodic tank cleaning are the fixed items, running coordinated with the installation periodic inspection regime. Leaks collect silently: meter baseline comparison (night consumption) and thermal damp scan (thermal control) are early catch tools. The as-built mapping file is the base of maintenance and expansion planning.
