Our Periodic Inspection Services

Statutory periodic inspections of pressure vessels, lifting machines, installations and rack systems by authorised engineers, with reports.

Our periodic inspection services verify, at regular intervals, that the work equipment used in your workplace complies with the Regulation on Health and Safety Conditions in the Use of Work Equipment and the relevant TS EN and equivalent international standards. A legally valid signed inspection report is issued at the end of every control.

Standards and Legal Basis

Our work is based on the minimum inspection intervals annexed to Law No. 6331 and the Work Equipment Regulation, and on the relevant product standards for each equipment type. Key reference standards: TS EN 12952/12953 (boilers), FEM/ISO 4301 and TS 10116 (cranes), ISO 3691 (industrial trucks), EN 1090 and FEM 10.2.02 (steel structures-racks), EN 60204 (electrical equipment of machines) and TS EN 62305 (lightning protection). Unless the regulation states otherwise, the inspection period is applied as at least once a year; it is shortened under corrosive environments and heavy duty conditions.

Reporting and Follow-up

Inspection covers visual examination, functional tests, measurements and, where required, non-destructive testing and proof (static/dynamic) loading. Findings from the field and laboratory data are subjected to engineering assessment on whether the equipment may continue to operate safely. For non-compliant conditions an "unsafe" note is recorded with rectification proposals within the same report.   3. Field application: Completion of the standard measurement and examination items; decision on additional non-destructive testing where findings are suspicious.
  4. Evaluation: Comparison of measurement results against the limits of the relevant standard, remaining life and load capacity calculations.
  5. Reporting: Issuance of the legally valid report, follow-up of the rectification of non-compliances and recording of the next due date in the system.

For each equipment family the method and period are set by the relevant standard.

Yes. Under Law No. 6331 on Occupational Health and Safety, employers must have the periodic inspections, maintenance, measurement and tests of work equipment done and documented. The principles, methods and intervals are set by the Regulation on Occupational Health and Safety in the Use of Work Equipment; missing inspections create administrative fines and — in an accident — legal liability.

Unless the legislation or the relevant standard sets another period, intervals cannot exceed one year. Some equipment carries user-level daily-monthly visual checks in addition to the annual inspection (slings, hooks, accessories); some tests complete on longer periods — such as hydrostatic proof on pressure vessels. For rack systems at least one yearly inspection (TS EN 15635) and for doors annual control (TS EN 13241) are standard duties.

Inspections are performed by examination engineers with the education and competency defined in the regulation — from the mechanical, electrical or electrical-electronics discipline depending on the equipment — and the report is issued signed and sealed. Inspections made by the manufacturer or authorised service for special equipment are valid when documented in the regulation format. Reports are kept in the workplace OHS file and presented during audits.
