Satellite-TV systems distribute television broadcast in residential sites, hotels, dormitories, hospitals and business centres through a central infrastructure, commonly or per apartment. Signals taken from rooftop or façade satellite dishes are carried through the central distribution unit (headend, multiswitch/MATV network) over a coaxial or fibre backbone to independent units. Our contracting covers end-to-end installation from channel-frequency planning, dish placement-angle calculation and cable infrastructure to room termination and signal measurement-test-commissioning.
System Architecture
- Headend: Aggregation of satellite LNBs, terrestrial (DVB-T2) and cable sources; choice of modulation, amplifier and optical converter (for fibre backbone). Hotel IPTV/OTD integration is built at this layer.
- Distribution network: Multiswitch, tap-off and line equalisation; compatibility of cable type (RG6/RG11 or fibre) with input-output level budget, frequency band (IF/SCIF) and subscriber plan.
- Structural detail: Roof-load and wind, earthing-overvoltage (line surge protection), fire compartment passages; separation and access panels inside the shared infrastructure.
- Subscriber points: Apartment/outlet termination, channel distribution scheme and hotel-room solution (independent channel access per room).
Testing and Commissioning
Signal quality is accepted by measurement: at every subscriber point level (dBµV), MER/BER, channel-wise power balance and multi-port (sat-terrestrial-cable) mixing are tested. Dish peaking is verified with satellite receiver and spectrum analysis; excess gain, weak signal and disturbing multipath (ghost-echo) conditions are separated. Earth continuity and lightning protection fit are checked together with mains-side residual current protection. The acceptance package is delivered with diagram, level tables, subscriber mapping and user training.
Maintenance and Legal Frame
In periodic maintenance, dish position-insulation control (after storms), LNB and multiswitch power test, earthing-bonding continuity and separation of subscriber complaints from local fault are performed. Installation runs under Law No. 6331 and safety duties, BTK licence-permit rules, RTÜG broadcast infrastructure legislation, satellite access conditions, fire (passage sealing) and structural rules (TS HD/IEC 60728 coaxial distribution, EN 60083 outlet termination). Structural and Environmental Durability
Roof systems are calculated with wind-snow load, thermal expansion, UV ageing and bird droppings field realities: anchor load capacity, rust resistance of the mounting connections and clamp tightness are checked periodically; the LNB and multiswitch feed voltage (13/18V) is measured under load, and ventilation-gasket details are preserved against condensation at rain-temperature swing. Dish peaking must be reconfirmed periodically due to seasonal tree shadow and new structural elements.
