Periodic Inspections Within ISO 45001: From Certificate to Field

ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management is a PDCA loop where hazards are identified, legal requirements tracked, controls planned and results measured. In this loop periodic inspection is not only the examination of equipment but the most concrete performance evidence of the system: it shows with measurement data whether the engineering control applied in the field actually works.

Top management reviews control completion rate, critical-finding closure time, the correlation of accident-near-miss with equipment failure and the preventive-maintenance budget ratio. The bridge between field and management is the measured control. Measurement is the sign not of certificate survival but of the quality of management decisions.
